Words are the instruments our brains use to think and our mouths use to communicate. Amateur radio enthusiasts, carpenters, machinists, musicians, health care professionals and scientists appreciate the importance of having good sharp instruments and the right instrument for the job. Undefined words; ill-defined terms; confusing acronyms and the use of jargon interferes with clear thinking and confuses those with whom we are attempting to communicate.
