Several Mid-Hudson Hams who are interested in operating on DMR and other Digital Voice (DV) Protocols (e.g. D-Star and System Fusion) will be getting together this coming Friday, July 31 at 9:30 AM for a Zoom.com meeting.
The meeting will include a live ‘field trip’ for those who are currently able to reach DMR Talk Group 3136 (TG-3136).
All attending the Zoom meeting will be able to see and hear the Hams who actually ‘venture out’ on the ‘field trip’ and greet them when they ‘return’ to the Zoom meeting.
The purpose of the meeting and field trip is to increase our knowledge about DMR operations and to allow us to determine our current DMR capabilities.
The actual time those who are able to reach Talk Group 3136 using their radios for an ‘on the air QSO’ will likely be quite short (e.g. 5 to 10 minutes).
The bulk of our time on the Zoom meeting will follow the ‘on the air’ portion and will be devoted to a Question and Answer session that can focus on code plugs, hot spots, repeaters; Pi-Star; Brandmeister and whatever other issues come up.
If you have participated in the two previous DMR focused Zoom.com meetings, you will receive an invitation from Paul AC2UQ.
If you have not previously participated, all licensed amateur radio operators are welcome to attend.
Simply use the ‘Contact’ button at the top of the page to request an invitation.
